15-Minute Chili Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey 1 can kidney or pinto beans - (15 oz), drained, rinsed 1 can low-fat low-sodium chicken broth 1 can diced tomatoes - (14 1/2 oz), undrained = (flavored with chilies, preferably) 1 can tomato paste - (6 oz) 1 tbsp chili powder 1/8 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp cumin 1/2 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
Recipe Instructions:
In a large nonstick saucepan, brown the ground turkey until it is no longer pink. Drain off any excess fat.
Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
This recipe yields 4 servings. Serving size: 1 cup.
Exchanges Per Serving: 4 Very Lean Meat, 2 Starch.
