Apple Fudge Squares Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
1 cup All-purpose flour, sifted 1/2 tsp Baking powder 1/4 tsp Baking soda 1/4 tsp Salt 1/2 cup Butter or margarine 2 oz Unsweetened baking chocolate 1 cup Sugar 2/3 cup Applesauce 2 Eggs 1 tsp Vanilla 1/2 cup Pecans, chopped
Recipe Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350oF. Grease an 8" square pan on bottom. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together; set aside. In double boiler, melt butter and chocolate together over medium heat. Remove from heat and add sugar and applesauce. Beat in eggs one at a time. Blend in vanilla and dry ingredients; stir in pecans.
Pour into prepared pan. Spread evenly. Bake 35-40 mintues, until done as desired. Let cool. Cut into squares or bars.
