Barbecue Turkey Sandwiches Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
3.00 tb Instant minced onion 0.25 c (plus 2 Tbs.) catsup 3.00 tb Vinegar 1.00 ts Salt (omit for low sodium -diets) 2.00 tb Sugar 1.50 ts Worcestershire sauce 1.50 ts Prepared mustard 0.25 ts Pepper 0.50 ts Paprika 2.00 c Cooked turkey or chicken, -diced 6.00 Hamburger buns
Recipe Instructions:
In a small mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the turkey; mix well. Place the mixture in a saucepan. Add turkey and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve hot on hamburger buns, or rice. Serving size... 1/6 recipe or approximately 1/2 cup, not including hamburger buns, or rice.
Nutritional information per serving: calories - 121, protein - 15 gm., fat - 2 gm., carbohydrates - 10 gm., cholesterol - 34 mg., sodium - 207 mg. without salt - 590 mg. with salt. Diabetic Exchanges: Lean Meat - 2, Starch/Bread - 1/2.
