Best Oven-Fried Chicken Recipe


Recipe Ingredients:

1 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp minced fresh thyme
1/2 tsp minced fresh oregano
1 tsp minced fresh basil
2 tsp paprika
Salt, to taste
Freshly-ground black pepper, to taste
2 eggs
2 egg whites
1 tsp hot pepper sauce
1 1/2 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, halved
3 tbsp olive oil

 

Recipe Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Combine the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and spices in a plastic bag. In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs and egg whites. Add the hot pepper sauce.

Dip each chicken breast into beaten eggs. Roll in the bread crumb mixture.

Spread the chicken breasts out on a cookie sheet. Drizzle olive oil on each chicken breast.

Bake the chicken for 30 to 35 minutes until no traces of pink remain.

This recipe yields 6 servings. Serving size: 3 to 4 ounces.
