Bow Ties With Vegetables Alfredo Recipe


Recipe Ingredients:

1 package bow tie pasta - (8 oz), uncooked
1 bag Birds Eye frozen farm fresh mixtures, (16 oz)
= (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots)
1 package alfredo pasta sauce mix - (1.6 oz)
1/2 tsp freshly-ground balck pepper

 

Recipe Instructions:

In large saucepan, cook pasta according to package directions. Add vegetables during last 5 minutes of pasta cooking. Drain; return to saucepan.

Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, prepare sauce according to package directions.

Stir sauce into vegetables and pasta; cook over medium heat until heated through. Season with pepper.

This recipe yields 4 servings.

Exchanges Per Serving: 2 Starch, 2 Vegetable, 1 1/2 Fat.

Nutrition Facts: Calories 266; Calories from fat 25%; Total Fat 8g; Saturated Fat 4g; Protein 11g; Carbohydrates 40g; Cholesterol 20mg; Sodium 601mg; Dietary Fiber 4g.

Comments: This will undoubtedly become a family favorite.

Variation: Stir 2 tablespoons prepared pesto sauce into alfredo sauce.

Serving Suggestion: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

Birds Eye Idea: For pasta perfection, cook pasta in an abundant amount of boiling water. Stir frequently while cooking to avoid sticking.
