Chinese Pepper Steak Recipe


Recipe Ingredients:


MIAMI HERALD

0.50 lb Flank or skirt steak; well
-trimmed of any fat
2.00 tb Cornstarch
2.00 tb Low salt soy sauce
2.00 md Green peppers; sliced
0.25 lb Mushroom; sliced
Vegetable oil spray
1.00 tb Fresh ginger; chopped
2.00 cl Garlic; crushed
0.25 c Dry sherry
0.25 c Defatted, low-salt chicken
-stock

 

Recipe Instructions:

Remove as much fat as possible from the meat. Cut
across the grain into 1/4 inch slices and cut again
into 1-inch pieces. Mix coenstarch and soy sauce
together. Place mear in mixture making sure it is
completely covered. Wash, seed and slice peppers,
about 1.4 inch thick. Wash and slice mushrooms. Spray
wok or skillet with vegetable oil spray. Heat wok and
add ginger and garlic. When wok is smoking, add meat
and stir fry 1 minute. Reove toa plate. Spray wok
again and add peppers and mushrooms. Stir fry 2
minutes. Return meat to pan and add sherry and stock.
Stir fry 3 minutes. Remove to a serving bowl.
