Country Kielbasa And Vegetables Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
Nonstick cooking spray, as needed 8 oz turkey kielbasa sausage, cut 1/8" rounds 1 cup chopped onion 3/4 cup chopped green bell pepper 1/2 cup finely-chopped celery 1 can diced tomatoes - (16 oz), undrained 1/2 cup uncooked orzo pasta 1/3 cup water 1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves 2 tsp olive oil Hot pepper sauce, for serving
Recipe Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Heat over high heat until hot. Add sausage; cook and stir 10 to 15 minutes or until sausage is brown. Add onion, pepper and celery; cook an additional 3 minutes.
Spoon into 1 1/2-quart casserole. Add tomatoes, orzo, water and thyme; cover.
Bake 1 hour, stirring after 30 minutes, or until heated through. Add olive oil; stir to combine. Let stand, covered, 10 minutes before serving. Serve with hot pepper sauce.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
