Creamed Parsley Chicken Recipe


Recipe Ingredients:

4.00 tb Carrots, Diced
4.00 tb Celery, Diced
2.00 pk Chicken Broth Seasoning Mix
1.50 c Water
4.00 ts Margarine
4.00 ts Flour
12.00 oz Chicken/Skinned/Boned/Cooked
4.00 tb Parsley; chopped fresh
6.00 tb Sour cream
0.25 ts Pepper

 

Recipe Instructions:

In small saucepan combine carrot, celery, and broth
mix; add water and bring to a boil. Cook for 5
minutes. In 1-quart saucepan heat margarine until
bubbly and hot; add flour and cook, stirring
constantly, for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and
gradually stir in vegetable mixture; return to heat
and simmer, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes. Add
chicken and parsley and stir to combine. Let simmer
until chicken is heated, about 5 minutes; stir in sour
cream and season with pepper.
EACH SERVING PROVIDES: 3P, 1/4 V, 1F, 65 CALORIES
OPT. MAKES 2 SERVINGS.
VARIATION: Substitute 1/4 cup skim milk for the sour
cream; reduces optional exchange to 25 calories.

g carbohydrate; 62 mg calcium; 561 mg sodium; 76 mg
cholesterol
