Crispy-Crusted Steak Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
1 can French-fried onions - (2.8 oz), coarsely crushed 2 tbsp olive oil 1 tsp spicy brown mustard 4 thinly-sliced beef top round steaks, (1 lb total)
Recipe Instructions:
Place the broiler rack 8 to 10 inches from the heat source and preheat the broiler. Place the French-fried onions in a shallow dish.
In another shallow dish, combine the oil and the mustard. Dip the steaks into the oil mixture, then into the onions, coating completely with each.
Place the steaks on a rimmed baking sheet and broil for 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
This recipe yields 4 servings. Serving size: 1 steak.
Exchanges Per Serving: 1/2 Starch, 3 Lean Meat, 2 1/2 Fat.
