Curried Meat Loaf Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
1 tbsp Reduced calorie margarine, + 1 tsp Reduced calorie margarine 2 small Sweet apples, peeled,chopped 1/2 cup Onions, chopped 1 lb Very lean ground beef 2 tsp Curry powder 1/8 tsp Garlic powder Salt and pepper to taste 2 Egg whites 3/4 oz Wheat germ 3/4 cup Tomato sauce
Recipe Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cook onion and apple in margarine until onion is lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Combine with remaining ingredients EXCEPT 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce, shape into a loaf and place on a rack in a shallow baking pan. Top with remaining tomato sauce. Bake, uncovered, 1 hour.
Per serving: 24g protein, 18g fat, 16g carb., 405mg sodium, 70mg chol., 317 calories.
