Diabetic Apple Crunch Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
2 slice Dry bread 1 tbsp Diet margarine 1/2 tsp Cinnamon 1/2 tsp Allspice 3 cup Apples, Cored sliced 1 tbsp Lemon juice 3/4 cup Dietetic maple syrup
Recipe Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make crumbs from bread and toast in oven. Mix toasted crumbs with margarine, cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon allspice. Mix apples with lemon juice, maple syrup, and remainder of allspice; spread in a well-greased shallow baking dish ( approximately 8" round). Cover with crumb mixture; bake 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm. Food Exchange per serving: 1/2 BREAD EXCHANGE + 1/2 FRUIT EXCHANGE; CAL: 65
