Fresh Berry Syrup Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
1 cup fresh berry of choice 1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice 1 tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot 3 tbsp sugar 1/2 tsp grated lemon zest 1 tbsp lemon juice
Recipe Instructions:
In a blender or food processor, puree the berries with apple juice. Pour into a saucepan and add the cornstarch.
Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens, about 3 minutes. Add in the sugar, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Pour over pancakes, waffles, or French toast.
This recipe yields 8 servings. Serving size: 2 tablespoons.
