Home-Made Turkey Sausage Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
1 1/4 lb coarsely-ground white turkey 1 tsp kosher salt 1 1/2 tsp freshly-ground black pepper, or to taste 2 tsp chopped fresh sage = (or 1/2 tspn dried sage) 2 tsp chopped fresh thyme = (or 1/2 tspn dried thyme) 1/2 tsp ground ginger 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg 1 tbsp Calvados 1 1/2 tbsp finely-grated orange zest Olive oil cooking spray, as needed
Recipe Instructions:
Combine well the turkey, salt, pepper, sage, thyme, ginger, nutmeg, Calvados, and orange zest in a bowl.
Spray a nonstick skillet with cooking spray and sauté a small bit of sausage mixture to test for seasoning. Correct if necessary. Form the remainder into 6 patties, about 1/2 inch thick, and sauté until browned on both sides and cooked through. Serve hot from the pan.
This recipe yields 6 servings.
