Marinara Sauce Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
2 tsp olive oil 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 small onion, diced 1 can tomatoes - (16 oz), with their liquid 1 can tomato paste - (6 oz) 2 tsp sugar 2 tbsp minced fresh basil Salt, to taste Freshly-ground black pepper, to taste
Recipe Instructions:
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat the oil. Add the garlic and onion and saute for 3 minutes.
Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes until thick.
This recipe yields 6 servings. Serving size: 1/2 cup.
