Pizza - Beer Batter Crust (Diabetic) Recipe


Recipe Ingredients:

2.00 c Unbleached all-purpose flour
1.00 c Whole wheat flour
1.00 tb Baking powder
12.00 oz Beer
Nonstick vegetable spray

CHEESY TOPPING

1.00 c Tomato sauce
0.75 c Part-skim ricotta cheese
0.50 oz Romano cheese freshly grated
2.00 oz Part-skim mozzarella cheese
-freshly grated
2.00 cl Garlic, minced
1.00 c Sliced fresh mushrooms
Oregano and basil

GREEK TOPPING

1.00 c Tomato sauce
Fresh spinach
1.00 c Crumbled Feta cheese
20.00 Black olives pitted & sliced
1.00 c Sliced or diced tomato

VEGETARIAN TOPPING

1.00 c Tomato sauce
2.00 c Assorted vegetables, chopped
-and steamed
0.25 c Fresh grated Parmesan cheese

BASIC ITALIAN TOPPING

1.00 c Tomato sauce
1.00 c Freshly grated low-fat
-mozzarella cheese
1.00 c Sliced fresh mushrooms
1.00 Green pepper, sliced
Oregano and basil

 

Recipe Instructions:

CRUST: In a large bowl mix all ingredients. Spread
evenly into a 9 x 13-inch pan coated with nonstick
spray.
Sprinkle with one of the toppings listed above.
Bake in a preheated 425 degree F. oven for 25 to 30
minutes or until done. Makes 12 servings, 12 squares.
