Real Italian Sauce Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
12 oz canned tomato paste 2 cups water 1 can V-8 juice - (12 oz) 1 tbsp minced onion 1 tbsp wine vinegar 1 tbsp minced garlic 1/2 tsp dried oregano 1/2 tsp dried basil 1 pinch crushed red pepper
Recipe Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a medium pot. Simmer gently for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. This sauce keeps well in refrigerator or may be frozen in 1-cup containers and used as needed.
This recipe yields 3 1/2 cups. Serving size: 1/2 cup.
