Ruby Fruit Compote Recipe


Recipe Ingredients:


INGREDIENTS

1 can Cherries, water-pack, tart
Red, 1 lb.
1/2 cup SugarTwin
1 tbsp Cornstarch
1/4 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Lemon juice
4 drop Red food coloring
1 tsp Angostura bitters
1 tsp Almond flavoring
1 pt Strawberries, fresh, whole,
OR
2 cup Strawberries, frozen,
Without sugar

 

Recipe Instructions:

DIRECTIONS:
Drain cherries, reserving liquid. Add water to cherry
juice to make 1-1/2 Cups. Blend sweetener,
cornstarch, salt and cherry juice mixture. Cook,
stirring until thickened and bubbly. Add lemon juice,
food coloring, flavoring and fruits. Chill. Serves 6.

If desired, top with 1 T fat-free sour cream or
vanilla yogurt.
