Shredded Wheat Snack Mix Recipe


Recipe Ingredients:

4 cups Nabisco Shredded Wheat Spoon Size Cereal
1 cup small unsalted pretzels
1 cup popped popcorn (not buttered or salted)
3 tbsp Parkay Spread Sticks, melted
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp seasoned salt

 

Recipe Instructions:

Heat oven to 300 degrees.

Mix cereal, pretzels, and popcorn in 15- by 10- by 1-inch baking pan. Mix spread, Worcestershire sauce, and seasoned salt in small bowl. Drizzle evenly over cereal mixture; toss to coat.

Bake 30 minutes or until crisp, stirring halfway through baking time. To cook using a microwave, pour mixture into large microwavable bowl. Microwave on High 5 to 6 minutes or until crisp, stirring halfway through cooking time.

Cool. Store in tightly covered containers.

This recipe yields 12 servings. Serving size: 1/2 cup.

Exchanges Per Serving: 1 Starch, 1/2 Fat.

Nutrition Facts: Calories 100; Calories from Fat 25; Total Fat 3g; Saturated Fat 0.5g; Cholesterol 0mg; Sodium 190mg; Carbohydrate 17g; Dietary Fiber 2g; Sugars 0g; Protein 2g.

Comments: The party's at your house and you don't want to serve the same old bag of chips and dip. But you don't want to spend a lot of time preparing appetizers either. Here's a snack that's satisfying and so good that folks won't stop eating it until it's all gone!
