Spicy Applesauce-Raisin Bread Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
3/4 cup Fiber One cereal 1 3/4 cups Gold Medal all-purpose flour 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup applesauce 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup vegetable oil 3 tsp baking powder 3/4 tsp apple pie spice 1/2 tsp salt 1 egg 1/2 cup raisins
Recipe Instructions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom only of loaf pan, 9 by 5 by 3 inches. Crush cereal if desired. (Place cereal in plastic bag or between sheets of waxed paper; crush with rolling pin. Or crush in blender or food processor.)
Stir together all ingredients except raisins in large bowl; beat 30 seconds using spoon or mixer. Stir in raisins. Pour into pan.
Bake 55 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing.
This recipe yields 24 servings. Serving size: 1 slice.
